The Concept Plan
Greater Local Council is a local governmental area lies in North Coast Region of New South Wales, Australia. Members of this council wants to organise an event in there area. The reason behind this is to improve and develop relationship between people who belongs to different locations but after merger of their area, they have to live at same place. Due to different background, there is negative relationship between people of both locations (Kassens-Noor, and et. al 2015). Therefore, by organising an event, council members wants to reduce negativity from their minds and try to develop good relationship among them as well. For this purpose, they hire an event team who will help in inviting people of native land. This team is required to convince people to take participation in such an event so that level of interaction can be developed with each other. This would also help in bringing closure to all persons and assist them to give cooperation in development of own place.
In this regard, event team has suggested to an idea to council members to organise program on Food Fair. As population of this location is near about 150k, where mostly people belong to middle age having primary school age kids. So, concept of food fair will attract people to participate in exhibition and set up their stalls. Under this exhibition, people can offer variety of traditional and tasty foods. It includes Chicken Parmigiana, Lamingtons, Barramundi, Vegimite and etc. Thus, by making such foods and show at fair, individuals will know about others traditions and culture. This will help in developing interaction between individuals and they will start to talk with each other about process of preparing food. This reflects that idea of food festival is effective by which people of different background can start communication with each other (Getz and Robinson, 2014). Thus, in this context, council members would have given a budget, which is near about $30,000 to event team for organising the whole exhibition. Henceforth, event manager is required to formulate a proper budget plan so that each activity will proceed in appropriate manner. This would help in optimising resources more adequately.
