INTRODUCTION

A social enterprise is an organization that implements commercial strategies to improve financial, social, and environmental well-being. These organizations are designed to make a positive impact on society while also generating profit for their co-owners. They address various issues to improve social conditions at local, national, and international levels. Some organizations have a simple structure, while others are complex in their structure and operations (Bicho, Nikolaeva, and Lages, 2018). The main purpose of these organizations is to address different social issues to enhance stability within the organization. The Human Rights Law Centre is a social organization that ensures the protection of basic human rights in Australia. Its primary role is to safeguard human rights and combat social issues related to discrimination. This report will explain how these organizations address various social issues through the social enterprise business model.

Issue that is Addressed by Social Enterprise

There are various issues are faced by people in society that are violating their rights and forcing them to live in the poor conditions and situations. Some of main challenges that are faced by people can affect their daily and social life (Dixon-Fowler, Coffey and Fowler, 2019). The Human Rights Law Centre is a social organization that performs various activities which are good for people whose rights are violated by other people. The list of social issues is too loge but some of these issues are more crucial to handle. Discrimination is one of the main issues is faced by people in society. Discrimination is faced by the people on various locations in organization. Most cases of discrimination are faced by people found on work place. For example, these issues are common at corporate offices, retail sector organization. These issues of discrimination are based various differences. These differences are- age, sexual orientation, gender, political views, religion, personal values and social values, social class, economic status, nationality, cast, disability, family status, marital status and race. These are various type of discrimination that is faced by people in society (Defourny and Nyssens, 2017). This is one of most common social issues that is faced by people. This issue is not only limited to local or national level, it is a global issue which is also considered by the United Nations.

There are some issues faced by people in Australia are related to discrimination on basis of race, religion, political views, personal views, gender and age. This issue is addressed by Human Rights Law Centre in Australia. The main role of this organization is to help the people to survive in this condition and help them to fight for their rights (Ganz, Kay and Spicer, 2018). Human Rights Law Centre help victims who have faced discrimination on work place, school, college and society. Human Rights Law Centre is a independent organization that provides support to people who are facing social issues that are illegal in Australia and help them to fight for their basic rights. The critical factor in this issue is related to the social emotions and personal values. The problems related to discrimination can also harm people mentally and socially. This how this impact make more crucial and important to handle.

There are various challenges are faced by people which are associated to the discrimination on the basis of different aspects (Besley and Ghatak, 2017). This is one of the most common model that is used by voluntary organization which are operating on national and international level and funded by UN government of the country to support the people who are at critical situation (Durkin and Gunn, 2016). Services that are provided to the people are free of cost and they are provided with the services that can help them to survive in the situation and help them to fight for their legal rights.

This organization is able to provide better help to people who are victim of discrimination because it is an independent organization that cannot be influenced by any other element. Challenges That are Faced by Social Enterprise

Social enterprises encounter various challenges while addressing issues like workplace discrimination. The Human Rights Law Centre, for instance, faces resistance from individuals who perpetuate discriminatory behaviors. Such resistance is challenging due to their fixed and narrow-minded attitudes, which can be observed through their behavior and actions (Sahay & Sawhney, 2017). To improve the collaboration process, establishing a collaborative body within different organizations can help reduce complications (Alegre & Berbegal-Mirabent, 2016; Whitley & Kite, 2016). The social enterprise Business model that is used by Human Rights Law Centre is Free for Service. There are many advantages and disadvantages of this model for a social enterprise. I have learned various things from this business model in social work. The issues that are targeted by Human Rights Law Centres are related to work place discrimination. As per the advantages that are mentioned above in report are effectively reflecting the reason of selecting this model. As a social enterprise it is important for them to get less affected by the operations and actions of other companies to gain high functionality in their operations. As the services that are provided by Human Rights Law Centre are considered as social work. This is major advantage of this business model. This helps the organization to avoid the impact of corruption within the operations. This is how free for services model is the best suitable for social enterprise that is providing services to employees of different organizations. I have learned a lot of things from this business model approach. According to my opinion free for service approach can help social organization to perform their operations with higher efficiency. This knowledge is really helpful for me and it can help me later in professional career as social worker.

The context which is considered in this report is about the challenges that are faced by people in organization and workplace. Discrimination is taken as major issue in business organizations in Australia that is handled by social organization that protect rights of people with in Australian territory. I have analysed that how social enterprise can use different business model to achieve their business objectives. Different challenges that are faced by them in operations are also studied by me. I think that this information will be really helpful for me in professional career.

There are various circumstances that are learned in the report which are related to the issues that are faced by people on work place. This is the first perspective that can be taken in the report. From the perspective of social enterprise there are also some circumstances that are faced by Human Rights Law Centre in their operations. There are different issues and solutions has been studied in report that can help the organization to provide better services to the people who are facing discrimination on the work place. The issues that are targeted in the report can be really helpful for people in corporate culture to prevent the cases of Discrimination with in the work place. This is how this study is related to my study program.

There are various things I have learned from this study. The issues that are faced by social organization and employees on the work place related to the discrimination have been studied through the report. As per the course work, we have to consider a social issue for the consideration in order to learn the actions that are performed by the social organization to improve the social condition of people by providing them better opportunities and legal facilities to prevent Discrimination on the work place.

As per my current course work, I have learned the role of social enterprise in supporting other people who are facing social issues on various places and how they are using different business model to define their work model. In the process of learning I have analysed different business model that are used by various organization as per their needs. The impact of this study is huge on my personal and professional career. It can help me to understand the business function of various social organization.
