Reflective report
As my task of school for accomplishing decent evaluations, I have been appointed this venture of Podcast and Script by my teachers which I have to submit alongside my other four individuals from group. I have been assigned this project of Podcast and script by my teachers or professors that I require completing effectively using most appropriate tools, methods and theories. The case study of Dam construction in Uganda, it is found that there are various issues regarding organization culture have affected the performance of Charles Martin and other employees working in the project. This report is an aggregate endeavors result of whole gatherings performing different prerequisites and requests of task. There are different distinctive leanings which can be accomplished from the said and talked about which can help an individual like me and my different individuals from group in creating and maintaining on the best level. This tasks have turned into the reason for compelling and better experience which has picked up by expert and individual abilities (Schermerhorn and et.al, 2014). An understudy need to take in a great deal from their reports and discoveries which we have endeavored in this task. The vice president of the Hydro Generation business firm was not satisfied with the working method of martin in order to further analyze cultural issues in the organisation I identified the key problem raised in the organisation mentioned in the case study. The various key issues I identified related to organization culture are as described below -
- The Project manager wanted the employees to work according to local working methods or style instead of following American working pattern as he believes it is more effective but the Vice president of the organization doesn't agree with this.
- The Project manager wanted to work according to the legislation applied in Uganda but the Vice president did not support due to the organization's policies and ethics.
- Vice president and Project manager of the company are different from each other, sharing different values and thoughts. Prior one was not caring about any strict policy or regulation but later the other wanted the policies to be followed strictly by each and every individual working in the project of the company.
I identified the above issues related to organisation culture as observed from the case of the podcast and script. With regards to aspects area, the whole system show me distinctive specialized components for making proper and legitimate task (Zhu and et.al, 2015). So I have been performing in negative way and face absence of information and data which interlinked with different activities and practices in legitimate way. Additionally, this will take additional season of dig for investigating and assessing all report and researchers examine for getting new statistical data points. After planning and breaking down whole podcast report, so I and my colleagues are able for estimating distinctive creators and researchers in restricted day and age (Arifin and et.al, 2014). It is valuable and help in increasing abnormal state of realizing which ought to be in future time allotment. For entire process, learning style help me in upgrading numerous abilities and information at work put. So I require performing diverse parts and capacities for augmenting learning aptitudes. This will help in expanding my ability and productivity in working. These issues were related to the organisation culture and cultural difference among the individuals at various level of the company such as Project manager, Vice president etc. In order to analyze these problems further I identified various theories related to organisation culture such as Power culture, role culture, Task culture and Person culture. These theories are can be applied in the given case within my selected podcast a script. The theories I identified are useful in determining various issues related to the organization culture and their impact (Carlos and et.al, 2014).
Person culture – I used the first principle or theory in order to understand cultural issue in the case of my podcast, The person culture is not applied in the cast chosen by me as the company is not following an individual culture. The company changes its working culture and method according to the need of the changing market or trends in the business environment. I identified that company in the case study has a multicultural structure as it has different types of employees working together in the project. These differences in culture developed a conflict situation in the company (Grealish and et.al, 2016).
Task culture – I also identified that the organization culture can be understood by another approach known as the Task culture. Task culture refers to the theory if allocating various tasks among different employees according to their skill and capabilities. I used this concept to understand the organisation culture in the Hydro Generation company, the company is following Task culture to some extent. As each and every individual is assigned specific roles and responsibilities to perform in the project.
