In this respect, Northouse has provided a team leadership model that gives emphasis on the approach that leaders can use in the model and undertake decisions about the present states of its team and precise action can be taken so that functioning of team can be enhanced (Sherman & et. al., 2007). This model is a conceptual approach that focuses on team based leadership in decisions making and it presents the skills that are required to include while undertaking decisions.
In this approach, it states that a team needs to modify the model to involve skills that are essentially relevant with effectiveness. While implementing this model, leader need to spend time to regulate with the approach so that it brings out naturally and decisions can be taken adequately. This model assumes that leader is skilled in undertaking decisions, managing interpersonal communication and other capabilities. One of the major benefits of this model is that it is specifically designed to focus on the actual life corporate work and leadership required in it and through it leaders can learn to better lead teams with highest level of efficiency (Kerr & et.al., 2006). Moreover, this model offers a cognitive direction that assists the leaders to design and maintain effective teams, mainly when performance is not up to the mark.
It can be said that the model being stated by Northouse gives into consideration the changing role of subordinates in corporations and focuses on the critical actions of leadership in decision making. The other approach reflected by Kouzes and Posner provides information about numerous tools to strengthen the team. This gives attention to figure out ways for consistent team evaluation and improvements, this model puts priority to diverse tools through which leaders can increase effectiveness of team by keeping them focused towards their goal and maintain a mutual understanding with confidence among team members and manage the performance (Kellett, Humphrey & Sleeth, 2006). This approach can be used to undertake decisions about the present condition of team and particular action can be taken to enhance the functioning of team.
Here, it can be stated that a close relationship exists between both the authors approach as theory given by Northouse assumes that leaders are capable enough to take decisions and through it they can lead the team in a better manner. Similarly, the model depicted by Posner and Kouzes assesses that to acquire the increased performance it is crucial to monitor the work of team so that adequate decisions can be taken and thereby, group can give attention on goals. In both the situations decisions making for leaders has been considered as an essential trait and for this diverse approaches have been used to enhance capability of team.

The challenges determined by the modern business world needs the organization to be more adaptable with changing business process. Diverse characteristics of individual provide company the significance to develop flexible strategies in order to attain the framed outcomes. In these conditions, leaders faces immense amount of challenge in offering developmental opportunities, one of the prime challenges that many of the leaders in the economic time period is the worst recession that has occurred all around the world (Hernez-Broome & Hughes, 2004)
Due to this there has been rise in the unemployment level in countries and government has to take decisions of cuts in the deficit. This ultimately lowered the morale of employees and increased the rate of attrition in organizations. Other challenges comes with the modern development and continuously changes in technology, as it has brought up lots of changes in the consumer buying behavior, as it develops a need of crucial training for workforce so that customer satisfaction can be acquired (Murphy, 2008). In this, the leader needs to modify his or her leadership traits according to the demand of situation, this ultimately bring issues and negativity in the management of a corporation. Due to the changing global economic many of the corporations and their leaders have faced much of challenges, for instance one of the prominent innovators and leader of Apple incorporation Steve Jobs faced much of critical situation during his job tenure mainly due to the challenging economic situations (Nash and Hwang, 2012). At the time of recession, the corporation was facing much of barriers in its sales activities and the leader Steve also planned diverse contingency situations in order to overcome with the issues.

In the rapidly changing business conditions a leader needs to work with increased focus to analyze the situation accurately and frame the strategic objectives. Here, in the above assessment it has been found that there are certain factors that act as a hindrance for the growth and development of an organization in the changing economic time period. In order to overcome these critical situations it is essential to frame prominent policies so that issues can be eradicated (Nohria & Khurana, 2010). One of the best practices that can be applied is invest much in leadership development where companies must invest in development and retaining the best employees and provide them ample amount of leadership qualities. Through this they can be given much of exposure and an environment better for both workforce as well as business.
The second optimum practice that can be applied is through creating a culture of collaboration in which leaders can grow themselves as well as the entire team. A culture of creativity and collaboration will help in workforces to grow and meet the challenges of changing external business environment (Lioukas & et. al., 2000). The third approach that can be used is development of effective communication skills to state the message efficiently. From the above stated approaches, Steve Jobs enforced the second approach under which he focused to design and develop a collaborative culture in the management so that hindrance can be eradicated and workforce can manage in the challenging external environment issues. Communication styles vary widely and there is a need to frame prominent communication skills among members to build strong team and acquire each other trust (Murphy, 2008).

Leadership is one of the most effective elements that aids to develop the organizational performance of organizations and is also liable for the growth and accomplishment of strategic decisions in the management. In this context, leader’s needs to acquire develop optimum amount of organizational resources so that they can bring out the best products and services with much of interest of stakeholders. In the competitive business environment responsibility of a capable leader is to guide the firms through changes that can be sometime unpredictable (Hill & Jones, 2009).
The major factors responsible for this condition are leadership and there is a requirement to change the existing approach of development and avoid various risks associated in the external and internal business environment. The above accomplished study has offered me much of relevance and information about the leadership approach, this assessment will assist me much in my own personal growth plans and SDLP program. Knowledge attained from this study has given me guidance about the significance of strategic decisions in corporations and its benefits for leaders. Furthermore, it has also provided me much of acquaintance in the area of leadership and the manner team can be motivated. This wisdom will assist me in potential growth plan where in I can implement in diverse techniques to set a direction and appear with confidence to inspire and motivate others.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that leadership strategies deals with different psychology of human beings were focus is being given on the capabilities that are effective and can be enforced all across the corporation. The above stated model depicts the traits that leaders must possess and understand the needs of team members so that strategic decisions can be undertaken (Hernez-Broome & Hughes, 2004). A leader need to be optimistic in nature and bring out the needs of team members and individually helps to manage in actions of diverse groups.
Leadership is important trait and influences the performance and culture of an organization and it defines the relationship between subordinates and leader in a firm. An adequate assistance is important for employees so that they can better comprehend their roles and responsibilities with the set objectives.
