Working with people belonging to the different society including aboriginal and Torres strait islander people need different and developed skills to treat them respectfully. The most common diversity founded are cultural diversity, racial diversity, gender diversity, physical disability, age diversity and diversity in interests. This report will cover different custom, cultures and equities of Australia. This will also help reader to know about the law and policies to stop discrimination in the workplace.

Culture, custom and equities in Australia
Australia has the oldest cultures and it is very rich in diversity. Australian people also like to select those who are grounded, bashful and have great sense of humour. They do not focus on their academic curriculum or goals. About 50000 years ago the aboriginal people came and this is how they are the oldest civilization. Generally, they do not belief people who are paying attention to their academic (Peisah and et. al., 2021). The Australian culture is a basically a western culture and affected by the culture of aboriginals and Torres strait islander people (Murphy, Madon, and Cherney, 2020). Australian people have great values of friendship. In Australia, there is no such laws made for friendship. Many social events are also organised in Australia. Australians support distribution of equal rights and chances. They all found of eating and drinking a lot. The oldest civilization on earth is indigenous people of Australia. While greeting people they usually shake hands, bow and kiss. Australians are very punctual when it comes to profession but if it is a social function coming little bit late can be considered. Australian women wears swimming tops when go to beach. About 300 languages are spoken out in Australia but most common is English. He languages spoken there includes Arabic, italian, mandarin, Greek and English. The main sports Australian like most are cricket , rugby league, soccer, swimming and Australian rules football. Playing sports make them physically active and this will also helpful for people of all age group to have opportunity to participate in sports. Aussies do informal greetings and like laid back lifestyle. Australians are always excited for the family parties picnics and day at beach. Queue is not common in Australia and also somewhat scary. In Australia equality matters most and thus post does not matters every individual is treated respectfully. People sitting at the dinning table use fork in the left hand where as knife goes to the right one. Australia is a home for million of migrants from the other countries.

In Australia, Laws regarding discrimination in the workplace includes age discrimination act 2004, Australian human rights commission act 1986, sex discrimination act 1984, racial discrimination act 1975 and disability discrimination act 1992.
